Ashley Yao, DVM
Dr. Ashley Yao is an associate veterinarian and part of the 2023-2024 rotating intern class at Pieper Veterinary. Originally from New Jersey, she graduated from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee and has a special clinical interest in neurology and cardiology. While in veterinary school, she worked as a leader on the chapter and national board for VOICE (Veterinarians as One Inclusive Community for Empowerment).
Dr. Yao lives with her super-friendly orange cat, Godric, and when not working she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, and doing anything that lets her get outdoors. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is seeing the connections between people and their pets, and being able to help strengthen and preserve those bonds.
